| 1949 – 1957 | School Attendance His exceptional ability to paint and draw is discovered early and promoted intensely. Visiting Museums frequently he is fascinated by paintings of the old masters. His desire to be able to paint in their style grows constantly. |
| 1957 – 1960 | Apprenticeship as a lithographer in Vienna At the same time he takes evening courses at the Academy of Fine Arts. Already at a young age he is interested in foreign countries and different cultures. He always rides his bicycle and travels as far as North Africa. He is deeply impressed by untouched landscapes and the beauty of nature. |
| 1960 | Six months by bicycle all alone – more than 9,000 km from Vienna to the North Cape and back. |
| 1961 – 1966 | Life and work in Switzerland Different jobs as a lithographer and later as a graphic designer. |
